If you and your dog are feeling a bit antsy with nowhere to go, you're not alone. Good Hound Company has come up with a list of 20 dog friendly hiking trails, parks, beaches, etc. in Milwaukee County and surrounding areas to enjoy.
In general, well-behaved, socialized dogs are welcome in Milwaukee County Parks, except for areas where "NoDogs Allowed" signs are posted (service dogs are exempt from this regulation). These areas include: Beaches including Bender, Bradford, Grant, McKinley, South Shore, and Tietjen (Doctors). Dogs are also not permitted in nature areas like Schlitz Audubon or Retzer nature centers in favor of the other animals that are protected there. And although the locations listed below are dog friendly, many of them still require dogs to be leashed/other precautions to be taken.
